Janet D. (Painter) Speelman

Janet D. Speelman, 78, of Scott died at 4:17 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born September 10, 1937, in Willshire, Ohio, the daughter of LeRoy and Mary (Kline) Painter who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband Kenneth L. Speelman of Scott whom she married October 7, 1960. Also surviving are her son Christopher A. (Janet) Speelman of Scott- granddaughter Melissa (Alan) Rose of Butler, IN- great-grandchildren Braxton Speelman, Adalyn Rose, and Griffin Rose all of Butler, IN. and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters: Devona Shell, Cleo Painter, Kate Harnshew, Doris Thatcher, Gene Painter, Charles Painter, Christina Kline, Barbara Von Wald, Martha Foreman, and Margaret Painter.
Janet was a homemaker.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Brickner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Scott Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, November 24, at Brickner Funeral Home from 2 PM - 8 PM.
