Billie May (Barnes) Battle

Billie May (Barnes) Battle of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan passed away November 1, 2021. Billie is survived by her granddaughters Kathleen (Franklin) Hopkins and Anna (Seth) Baker, her daughter-in-law Nancy Battle, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Battle, son James T. Battle, and daughter Margaret Battle Kiernan.

Billie was born in Central City, Kentucky to Thomas and Margaret Barnes. She was a gifted pianist, completing her undergraduate studies at Wayne University with a Bachelors in Education. She also attended the University of Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto. She married James F. Battle in 1951. Billie enjoyed traveling, playing cards, spending time with her family and friends, and watching old musicals.
