Cuba Louise Coil, 81, of Van Wert, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born June 13, 1930, in Lima, Ohio. The daughter of Naamon and Vivian (Wilson) Hartzog, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married to Kenneth Barnes for 28 years. After his death, she married Robert Coil, who preceded her in death.
She had been an employee of the former Crescent Laundry. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four children, Kenneth Michael (Marsha) Barnes of Paulding, OH, Mel Long of Van Wert, OH, Marsha (Mike) Elliott of Middlefield, OH, Marjean (Dave) Warren of Delphos, OH; three step-children, Kevin Coil, Tracy Coil, and Mark Coil; two brothers, Richard (Ginny) Hartzog of Lima, OH and Jack (Paula) Hartzog of Pensacola, FL; 20 Grandchildren, 41 Great-grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Mitchell Barnes, Sr. and Marlan Barnes; 1 Step-son, Dusty Coil; 2 Brothers, Naamon and Gene Hartzog; 3 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastors Josh Tissot and Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at the funeral home.
