David G. Linser

David G. Linser, 85, died on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at his residence.
He was born October 9, 1927, in Van Wert, Ohio. The son of the late William C. and Elizabeth (Schumm) Linser. He married Lois (Evans) Linser on March 29, 1959 and she survives in Van Wert.
Surviving are four children, Elizabeth of Hawaii, Laura of Belmont, CA, Will of Seattle, WA, and Eric (Rebecca) of San Francisco, CA; Four grandchildren, Koral, Kekoa, Ivan and Ryan; a brother, Jim of New York.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Uncapher; and two brothers, Karl and Ralph (Skip).
He graduated from Van Wert High School and attended Oklahoma State University. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. A life member of the American Legion Post 178 and Elks Lodge 1197. He was a long time member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He retired from Sonoco Products Engineering Department in 1990.
Memorial Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Will Haggis II officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
