Diana Sue (Unterbrink) Williamson

Diana Sue Williamson, 63, of Van Wert, Oh., passed away following a brief illness on Thurs. June 1, 2017 at St. Rita’s Hospice Center in Lima, Oh.   Born Nov. 29, 1953, Diana was the daughter of the late Pat (DeBolt) and Donald W. Unterbrink.

Surviving are a son, Shane (Elizabeth) Williamson of Cincinnati, Oh and grandchildren, Audrey and Lindsey Williamson.  Surviving  siblings are Gregory(Mary)Unterbrink, Van Wert, Oh., Sandy Unterbrink Young, Convoy, Oh. and Dan(Jenny) Unterbrink of Columbus, Oh.  Nieces and nephews are Roxanne (Todd) Utrup, Logan and Samantha;  Cassie (Andrew)  Elliott, Mari Young, and Ben Unterbrink.

Preceding Diana in death, in addition to her parents, was her brother-in-law, Ned L. Young.

Diana was an Ohio State graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Comparative Studies.  She taught at Vantage Vocational School in Van Wert before moving to Delaware, Oh.  After her mother died, Diana returned to Van Wert to care for her father.  Diana loved travel, as well as reading, music, and film classics. Performing and directing at the Van Wert Civic Theatre began her lifelong love of theatre.  Most importantly,  Diana greatly loved her granddaughters.   Her sharp wit will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

There will be a private family gathering to celebrate Diana’s life on Sat. June 10, 2017.   Brickner Funeral Home of Van Wert is in charge of arrangements.
