Don Owen 'Hutch' Hutchison

Don Owen 'Hutch' Hutchison, 80, of Scott, died at 12:17 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Van Wert Co. Hospital.

He was born Oct. 19, 1933, in Van Wert Co. to Nolan and Geno (Goings) Hutchison.  He is survived by his spouse, Ireta A. (Decker) Hutchison- children:   Cheryl A. Winberg and Terry S. (Bruce) Gattshall both of Van Wert and Karen 'Kay ' (Ted) Rosswurm of Payne.  Grandchildren: Leslie (Craig) Roney of Lake Worth, Florida-Kimberly Fulford, Van Wert- Lindsay (Travis Doster) Winberg, Van Wert- Danielle (Miguel) Drewery, Ft. Wayne, IN- Patrick (Michelle) Gorman, Van Wert- Meghan M. Gorman, Columbus, Ohio- Heath (Megan) Rosswurm, Ft. Wayne, IN- Brooke (Zak) Price, Ft. Wayne, IN.- 14 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Sisters:  Justine (George Glick) Hutchison, Lake Worth, FL. and Debra (Glenn) Wilder, Decatur, IN.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathan Rosswurm, a great-granddaughter,  Quinley Drewery, and a nephew Jason Minck.

He was a 30 year employee of the former Bordens Food Plant in Van Wert and retired from Haviland Drainage.  He also was a former Scott Council Member, a long time Wayne Trace supporter, a graduate of Grover Hill High School, and a US Army veteran.

'Hutch' loved his wife, children, grand and great-grand children.  GO RAIDERS!!

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 PM Monday May 5, 2014 at Brickner Funeral Home with Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating.  Burial will follow at a later date at Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill.  Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home from 2 - 4 Monday prior to services.
