Dora M. Carter, 91, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away December 15, 2010 at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born September 21, 1919 in Celina, Ohio to William and Emma (Pauline) Curry. She married Raymond L. Carter in 1939 and he died in 1969. She was preceeded in death by 4 sisters, Florence Sebring, Mabel Elder, Catherine Ballinger and Thelma Coby and two brothers, Richard Curry and Wilbur Curry.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Betty Sheets) Carter of Bryan, OH and Thomas (Anita Vogt) Carter of Fort Wayne, IN. 4 Grandchildren: Terry (Annette) Carter, Beth (Carl) Jaggers, Robert (Jennifer) Carter and Marybeth Carter. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
She retired from the former Aeroquip Corp. in 1984 after 30 years of service and belonged to its Ladies Retirement Club. She was also a former member of the Van Wert Ladies Bowling Assoc. and the Ladies Tuesday Nite Golf League.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, Ohio by Rev. Paul W. Miller. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home from 2:00 - 4:00 PM & 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, December 20, 2010.
