89, of Van Wert, died at 5:08 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2011, at Van Wert Manor.
She was born July 6, 1922, in Middle Point, the daughter of Clifford and Lotta (Myers) Showalter who both preceded her in death.
She was a telephone operator for Middle Point Telephone Company for many years. Also, she was a cook at Whistle Stop in Middle Point. She was a former member of the Middle Point Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Rick) Say of Van Wert; a sister, Mary McDowell of Van Wert; two grandchildren, Amy (Tommy) Williamson of Van Wert and Jeffery Say of Boulder, CO; a great-grandson, Ryne Williamson of Van Wert; a step great-grandson, Jacob Williamson of Van Wert.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert with the Rev. Stanley Szybka officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery at a later time.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, at the funeral home.
