Dorothy Grace (Riley) Schaadt
November 24, 1918 — January 11, 2009
90, of Van Wert, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, Ky. She had been living with her daughter and son-in-law in Louisville for the last several years.
She was born November 24, 1918, in Celina, the daughter of the late Calvin and Grace Riley. On May 22, 1942, she married Edgar Dale Schaadt, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2003.
Dorothy worked for many years at the Sunshine Bakery and retired after many years of dedicated service from the former Van Wert National Bank. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Van Wert.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Kay Kline and son-in-law, Boyd Kline, granddaughter Dee Ann Kline Doss and husband Steve, great grandchildren Diana Kay Royalty, Brandon Michael Royalty, Bryan Jay Royalty, Kathryn Boyd Doss and Alexander Campbell Doss.
She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laura Kay Kline Brady, and a grandson, Jay Dee Kline.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with burial to follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 16, at the funeral home.
