Elaine Mae (Kemler) Robey

Mrs. Elaine Kemler Robey, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Morningside Assisted Living.  She was born December 9, 1934 in Paulding, Ohio the daughter of John and Carrie (Bidlack) Kemler both of whom are deceased.

Mrs. Robey is survived by her son; Dennis J. Robey (Kathy) of New Carlisle, Ohio, a daughter; Darlyne G. Mathewes (John “Tommy”) of Augusta, three sisters; Joan Sullinger of Finlay, Ohio, Belle Lehman (Floyd) of Van Wert, Ohio and Cara Ashbaugh (Owen) of Logansville, Ga., her grandchildren; Thomas D. Robey (Jessica), Mark A. Robey, Stacy Daubenspeck (Ryan), Carrie R. Davis (Jonathan), Susan R. Mathewes and Michaela J. Mathewes, as well as her great grandchildren; Keaton Robey, Ethan Daubenspeck and Alex Daubenspeck. Another Daubenspeck great grandchild is expected in November.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dale Robey and her parents John S. and Carrie Bidlack Kemler, her brother and sister in law, Howard and Wilma Kemler, her brother-in-law Charles Sullinger and her grandson, John Kenneth Mathewes.

Elaine been employed for many years by the Village of Ontario, OH as a clerk in the water department.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, OH.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Brickner Funeral Home, 419 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, Ohio from 12:00 until 1:00 PM.
