Ernest Alexander Parkanzky

Ernest Alexander Parkanzky passed away suddenly on July 6, 2011.
He was born to the late Alec and Hermina Parkanzky in Detroit, Michigan on April 30, 1931. He married Theresa (Kufta) on April 19, 1958 at St. Michaels Church in Muskegon, Michigan.
Survivors include six children and 19 grandchildren: Daniel (Kim) Parkanzky of Chelsea, Michigan and sons Max and Samson. Marie Halloran of North Salem, New York and children, Jake, Conor, Aidan, Kieran, Declan and Phelan. Karen(Roger) Vogler of Winchester, Virginia and children Isaac, Simon, Noah and Veronica. Connie (David) Snyder of Bellvue, Ohio and children Adrienne, Addison, Elliot, Oliver and Evan. Paul(Kristina) Parkanzky of Middleville, Michigan. John (Natalia) Parkanzky of Lakewood, Ohio and children Oleksander and Zenovia.
Surviving siblings include Elsie McKeown, Wilma (Frank) Iafrate, Nancy (Marcello) Scappaticci, Frank (Merrie) Parkanzky. He was preceded in death by his brother William and his wife Jean. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Vincent Halloran.
Ernest was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, Knights of Columbus Council 6034, and BPOE 1197.
A Mass of Remembrance will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Church Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be Fathers Charles Obinwa and Stan Szybka.
