Esther Viola Caryer

Esther Viola Caryer, 85, formerly of Wren, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Vancrest Healthcare Center of Convoy.

She was born in Paulding County, Ohio, Wednesday, February 10, 1926, to George A. and Nora (Little) Burris who both preceded her in death. On December 1, 1945, she married Leo T. Caryer, Jr. who passed away June 21, 2005.

Esther is survived by 3 Daughters: Marilyn Neate of Convoy, OH, Marcelene (Richard) Price of Ohio City, OH, and Peggy (Danny) Miller of Mount Vernon, KY; Three grandsons, Matthew Swygart of Rockford, OH, Christopher (Angie) Swygart of North Vernon, IN, and David Schaadt of Rockford, OH; One grand-daughter Macayla Miller of Mount Vernon, KY; Eight great-grandchildren, Brett Swygart, Sydney Swygart, Mollie Swygart, Samantha Swygart, Mason Swygart, Sarah Schaadt, Johnaton Schaadt, and Cecelia Schaadt. Also surviving are three sisters, Marge Powless, Alice Fleck, Janette Waltmire and a brother, Ray Burris. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys Clark, Irene Manley, Nancy Yenser and a brother, Calvin Burris.

Visitation will be held at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, OH on Saturday, September 3, 2011 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will follow visitation and begin at 2:00 pm. Pastor Carol Tumbleson from Countryside Church of the Nazarene, will officiate the service with Interment at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
