Georgia M. Lippi

93, of Van Wert, died at 4:07 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.

She was born June 23, 1916, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Leonard V. and Goldie A. (Miller) McCray. On January 7, 1936, she married Dante "Don" Lippi, who preceded her in death on January 25, 2001, after 65 years of marriage.

Mrs. Lippi had worked at Van Wert Manufacturing Company and for many years at the G.C. Murphy "5 and Dime" store in Van Wert. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and its Rosary Altar Society.

Survivors include five daughters, D. Rosemary (Jerry) Baer of Loveland, Colo., Gloria Smith of Elkhart, Ind., Carol (Gary) Carter and Martha (Randy) Wells, both of Van Wert, and Elizabeth (Robert) Moore of Moody, Texas; two sons, Donald (Patricia) Lippi and Stanley (Cheryl) Lippi, both of Van Wert; a half-brother, Harold Keith of Michigan; 16 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

Twin sons, Lloyd and Cloyd Lippi; five sisters, Louise Pritchard, Estella Baer and Alice Parsons and two sisters in infancy; and a brother, Lewis McCray, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 16, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, November 15, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a Rosary service will be held at 8 that evening.
