Glenn Owen Gattshall

78, a lifetime resident of rural Grover Hill, died at 11:33 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Colonial Nursing Home in Grover Hill.

He was born September 13, 1928, in rural Grover Hill, the son of the late Harry and Hazel (McClure) Gattshall. He married Marcia Jean (Painter) Gattshall, who also preceded him in death.

Mr. Gattshall was a lifetime resident of the Grover Hill area and had been a farmer, car salesman and factory worker.

Survivors include a son, Bruce (Terry) Gattshall of Van Wert; one stepdaughter, Lisa (Rick) Cashel of Vann Wert; a sister, Betty Miller of Grover Hill; three stepgrandchildren, Danielle (Miguel) Drewery of Fort Wayne, Ind., Patrick (Michelle) Gorman of Van Wert and Meghan Gorman of Lancaster; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Gabrielle Perkins and Melody Gorman.

Two brothers, Charles and Berman Gattshall, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, at Middle Creek Church in Grover Hill, with the Rev. William Sherry officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.

Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday, September 7, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church.
