Jane A. (Myers) Harris

Jane A. Harris, age 77, of Van Wert, died at 3:45 AM Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Wexner Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born July 18, 1939, in Van Wert the daughter of the late Don "Dag" and Donna (Grant) Myers. She was married to Doyle Eugene Harris who preceded her in death August 12, 2015.
She is survived by her children Donna (Larry) Clouse of Van Wert- Jim Myers of Van Wert- Nikki Harris (Greg McCray) of Van Wert- grandchildren Nathan Clouse, Kimberly Eickholt, Christopher Clouse, Tricia Hughes, Lexi, Drew, Vivienne, and Ross Myers, and Maddux McCray- great grandchildren Cora Clouse, Beth, Ila, and Maggie Hughes- sister Nancy Dixon all of Van Wert. She was preceded in death by a sister Betty Myers.
Jane had been employed as personnel director by the Van Wert Co. Commissioners and previously as a deputy sheriff under the late Sheriff Wilmer Clay. She was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and an avid reader. She was a member of the Van Wert Democratic Party and PERI.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Brickner Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home Wednesday, March 8, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
