74, of Ohio City, Ohio, died at 6:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2005, at residence.
He was born April 13, 1931, in Austin, Texas the son of the late Antonio and Elosia Nieto. On June 14, 1951, he married Margaret A. Serbando, who died May 18, 2002.
Mr. Nieto was a Retired Van Wert County Sheriffs Deputy. He was a member of the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. U.S. Army veteran. Member of American Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 5803. Fraternal Order of Police and Eagles lodge.
He is survived by Delores M. Myers (daughter) of Elida, OH, Joseph A.Nieto (son) of Lima, OH, Angela M. Lewis (daughter) of Ohio City, OH, and Juanita A.Joseph (daughter) of Ohio City, OH. 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a 1 Son, Anthony B. Nieto.
Funeral services will be Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, June 30, 2005 at St. Mary Of The Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Joseph M. Schmelzer officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are Wednesday June 29, 2005 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m., Followed by a Parish Vigil Service at 8:00 PM.
