Joe Yakos

Joe Yakos, 91, of Van Wert, died at 9:54 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born June 23, 1921, in Van Wert, OH, to the late Joe and Mary (Kubik) Yakos. On November 20, 1948, he married Jennie Motycka, who preceded him in death in 2011.
Joe was a farmer in Ridge Township.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Warren) Madden of Kennesaw, GA; a sister, Anne Maxson-Boudreaux of Easley, SC; a sister-in-law, Mary Motycka of Napoleon, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Joe is preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and John Yakos.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, and 1 hour prior to services on Friday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert, with one hour of viewing prior to service. Burial will follow in Ridge Cemetery.
