Jon O. "Jack" Minnich of Payne, Ohio, died at 4:25 AM Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born August 10, 1938, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Orville C. and Anna J. (Fox) Minnich. On July 27, 1957, he married Patricia V. (Vachon)Minnich who survives in Payne, Ohio.
He is also survived by 5 Children: Marijane A. (Michael) Crowe, of New Haven-Emmett J. (Rose A.) Minnich of Convoy, Ohio- Annette V. (Russell) Spindler of Rockford, Ohio- Mark A. Minnich of Toledo, Ohio- Scott O. (Carey A.) Minnich of Convoy, Ohio- 14 Grandchildren- 17 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a Son-in-Law, Melvin C. Henry and 3 Grandchildren.
Mr. Minnich was employed for 30 years as a Maintenance Foreman at Tokheim in Ft. Wayne. He also was employed by Materials Handling Corp. of Ft. Wayne and New Idea at Coldwater, Ohio.
He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church of Van Wert and the National Rifle Association.
Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Norbert Howe officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, Ohio. Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home Wednesday, December 29, 2010, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM where a Rosary will be recited at 8:00 PM. Calling also after 8:30 AM Thursday at Brickner Funeral Home.
