Josephine A. Etzler
July 29, 1921 — February 7, 2006
age 84, of Van Wert, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born July 29, 1921, in Adams County, Ind., the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Willrath) Morningstar. On July 26, 1941, she married Leo Etzler, who died November 19, 1987.
Mrs. Etzler was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy and Senior Citizens of Van Wert County. She was very active in the Van Wert County Council on Aging.
Survivors include three nieces, Emma Hiers of Mentone, Ind., Aletha Hale of Van Wert, Ethel Flowers of Wren, Sharon Chaffins of Berne, Ind., and Flossie Morris of Deirks, Ark.; three nephews, Dale Uhrick and Elmer Uhrick, both of Bluffton, Ind., and Roger Morningstar of Geneva, Ind.; and two stepnieces, Bonnie Carts of Pennville, Ind., and Judy King of Reiffsburg, Ind.
A sister, Edna M. Uhrick, and one brother, Dale Morningstar, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Michael W. Saylor officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 10, at Brickner Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Memorials are to the Council on Aging and Redeemer Lutheran Church in Convoy.
