June A. Bailey, 88, of Van Wert, died at 6:47 AM Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice. She was born November 27, 1926 in Lima to Elmer & Bertha (Honingford) Stetler both of whom are deceased. On Sept. 28, 1951 she married Robert Glenn Bailey who died March 20, 1998.
She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter: Stephen (Jill Albright) Bailey of Van Wert, Barbara (Chuck) Skaggs of Naples, FL, and Jeff (Paula Klausing) Bailey of Minster, Ohio. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Lauren Hand, Kristina Livingston, Lindsey Bailey, and Paul Bailey and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Stetler.
She graduated from St. Rita's School of Nursing and was employed in several physcians offices in Van Wert over the years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and its Altar & Rosary Society.
Some of her favorite activites were golfing, dancing, and socializing with friends and family. She loved dogs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Monday, June 8, 2015, with Father Charles Obinwa officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Brickner Funeral Home where a Rosary Service will be held following visitation. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery Van Wert.
