82, of Van Wert, died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert.
He was born July 10, 1926, in Van Wert, the son of the late Emmet Lee and LaVera Faye (Adams) Felger. On February 14, 1954, he married Ruth Ellen (Davis) Felger, who preceded him in death on March 17, 1970.
Mr. Felger owned Felger's Mercantile Agency. He was a bail bondsman and sold insurance for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Lynne Miller of Van Wert, two brothers, Roger Felger and Danny Felger, both of Van Wert; three grandsons, Carl Benjamin Miller, Ian Geoffery Miller and Zachary Earnest (Stephanie) Miller; and a great-grandson, Dylan Carl James Miller.
A daughter, Cheryl Ann Felger; five brothers, Carrol, Kenneth Eugene, Milo, Richard and Ralph Felger; and two sisters, Mary Amweg and Helen Drocy, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the funeral home.
