K. Louise (Wilson) Mefferd

K. Louise Mefferd, 86, of Van Wert, died Friday, December 11, 2015, at Van Wert Co. Hospital.  She was born in  Van Wert Co. October 31, 1929, the daughter of the late Enos and Sarah (Mason) Wilson.  She was a homemaker but worked at different times and part time various jobs.  She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Van Wert where she taught Sunday School and Bible School in her younger years.  Also, she served on different committees when she was able.  She belonged to the 60+ adventure group and seekers class and loved everyone in these groups.  She enjoyed all of the neighbors who were so helpful during snow removal, lawn mowing, storm repair, and when she was sick.  She loved her family, gardening, reading, and cooking.  She was married to her husband, Don Mefferd of Van Wert who survives her, for 68 years.

She is also survived by her children:  Allen Mefferd of Van Wert- Mike (Becky) Mefferd of Rockford, Ohio- Jane (Steve) Blevins of New Haven, IN- and Lisa (Brian) Wisener of Middle Point, Ohio- grandchildren Mike, Robby (Erica) ,Kate (Mike), Jonathan, Angela, Sam, Sawyer, Torrey, Tia, Jaime, and Mark- great grandchildren Lucas, Grant, Courtney, Sebastian, Joshua, and Franky-  step-grandchild Tressa- step-great grandchildren Shay and Seth.

She was preceded in death by an infant son Jeff Mefferd and infant great granddaughter Quincy- her sisters Helen Sanderson, Patty Muhn, and Eunice Savio- brothers Guy, Amos, and Alvin Wilson.  She is loved and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Brickner Funeral Home .  Visitation will be before the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Memorials may be made to either the Salvation Army or the Wesley United Methodist Church.
