Kenneth E. Bockey

Kenneth E. Bockey, 57, of Delphos walked into Jesus' arms approximately 8:05 AM on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos being held by loving family. He was born February 27, 1956 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima to Walter E. and Anna Jean (Kroeger) Bockey.

He is survived by his mother, Anna Jean Bockey of Delphos and 9 siblings. Brothers include: Joe (Doris), Dennis, Vernon (Lisa), and John Bockey all of Delphos. His forever grateful sisters include: Joan (George) Hurrell of Port Clinton, Ohio; Connie (Fred) Nahrwold of New Haven, IN; Monica (Richard) Maye of Elida, Jackie (Rick) Cavelage of Middle Point, and Diana (Steve) Rennie of Las Vegas, NV. and a sister-in-law, Pamela Bockey-Smith of Van Wert. He is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces. He is welcomed into Heaven by his father, Walter E. Bockey and a brother, Tom Bockey of Van Wert.

Kenny loved everything to do with family get togethers. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and everyone he worked with at the Thomas Edison Workshop in Van Wert. He was an enthusiastic Delphos St. Johns Blue Jays, Michigan Wolverines, Cincinnati Reds, and Dallas Cowboys fan. Without as much as a kindergarten diploma, Kenny taught his brothers and sisters more about the real meaning of life including innocence, compassion, patience, and unconditional love than anyone.

Friends may call from 2:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at St. John The Evangelist Church in Delphos with Father David Reinhart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Thomas Edison Workshop in Van Wert and the Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos.
