88, of Van Wert, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at Hearth & Home in Van Wert.
He was born May 7, 1920, in Adams County, Ind., the son of the late Frank and Mabel (Hilyard) Bolinger. He married Marjorie (Massonne) Bolinger, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. Bolinger owned and worked in the family business, Bon Ton Shoe Repair, for more than 67 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Jean Hoar of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Bill (Bobbie) Bolinger of Dayton and Jim (Karen) Bolinger of Clarion, Pa.; two sisters, Helen (Jerry) Spoon of Van Wert and Betty (Noel) Moore of Bradenton, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 7, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 6, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church in Van Wert.
