L. Lucille Stagner

November 13, 1918 — April 13, 2006

age 87, of Van Wert and a former resident of Fairborn, died at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2006, at Lincolnway Home near Middle Point.

She was born November 13, 1918, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Floyd and Anna Mae Wilkin. On March 31, 1934, she married Charles Medford Stagner, who died July 7, 2004.

Mrs. Stagner was a homemaker and a member of Wesleyan Holiness Church, where she had served as church treasurer and was a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include a son, Rev. Job Medford (Nila) Stagner of Van Wert; two daughters, Charlotte L. Robinette of Englewood and Delores A. (Frank) O'Halloran of Beavercreek; one sister, Imogene (Richard) Rucker of Tipp City; eight grandchildren, Joy, Angela Lynne, Alicia, Bruce, Carla, David and Ryan, and four great-grandchildren, James, Andrew, John and Alicia.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Dorothy, Ruth, Vivian and Della Mae.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at Gates of Praise Church, with Pastor Job Stagner officiating, assisted by Pastor Angela Hancock. Burial will in Byron Cemetery in Byron.

Viewing hours are from 6-8:30 p.m. Monday, April 17, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert and from noon to the time of services Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed to First Friends Church in Van Wert or Faith Missions in Bedford, Ind.
