Lena May Storie

Lena May Storie, 85, Van Wert, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Van Wert.

She was born October 2, 1925, in Gouverneur, NY to the late Charles W. and Ella Jane (Thompson) Stowell. On June 14, 1944, she married Richard M. Storie. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2000.

She is survived by her children, Nancy McPherson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Shirley (Jerry) Beard of Van Wert, OH, Eunice (Ron) Bober of Greenwood, IN, and Richard (Bo) Storie II of Nashville, TN; a brother, Charles Lynn Stowell of Gouverneur, NY; Grandchildren, Andrea (Jeff) Callaghan of Ft. Worth, TX, Aaron (Yo) Wagonrod of Columbus, OH, Carrie (Jason) Anspach of Ft. Wayne, IN, Curtis (Samantha) Beard of Parker, CO, Dawn (James) Myers of Huntsville, TX, Ryan (Anna) Bober of Greenwood, IN and Bryson Storie of Nashville, TN; Great-grandchildren, Aaran Bober of Greenwood, IN and Alexandra Callaghan of Ft. Worth, TX.

She is preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Maynard, Wallace and a sister, Ethel.

She was employed at Borden Cheese Company and Federal Mogul. She retired in 1989 after 30 years. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church and Friendship Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Clark Williman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Calling will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m.
