Luella Marie Good

Luella Marie Good, 90, of Van Wert, died at 1:53 AM Thursday, February 21, 2013 at home.

She was born in Burkettsville, OH on March 26, 1922, the daughter of the late Ora E. and Preska M. (Myers) Walls. Luella was married to Maynard Wade, who preceded her in death. On May 2, 1986, she married William R. Good, who preceded her in death.

Luella is survived by four children: Penny (Robert) Barker of Van Wert, OH, Karen (Bill) Nostrant of Cloverdale, OH, Nicholas J. (Penny) Wade of Van Wert, OH, and Ory (Gary) Perl of Convoy, OH; Step-Children, Nancy (Tom) Keltner of Colorado, Bonnie (Tim) Haynes of Maryland, William R. (Cindy) Good III of Columbus, OH; 13 Grandchildren, 36 Great-Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Jo Roop; 2 Sisters, Garnet Robison and a sister who was stillborn; and 1 Brother, Paul Walls.

Luella was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Dr. Floyd McCammon for many years. During the 1970s, she was City Income Tax Administrator and worked at L & K Restaurant. In the 1980s, she owned the Candy Carnival store. She was at Heritage Coin and Antique shop in the 1990s. Luella was a Past Commander of Ladies Auxiliary of DAV, a member of Good Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Van Wert, OH. She was also the Patient Service Chairman for Multiple Sclerosis and the Van Wert Business Woman of the Year.

The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, February 24, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.

A meal will be served at the VFW in Van Wert at 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, February 25, 2013 at Brickner Funeral Home with the Pastor Stuart Wyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Ansonia Cemetery in Ansonia, OH.

Preferred memorials are to Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
