91, of Van Wert, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born December 16, 1913, in Richland County, the daughter of the late Harris and Jessie (Hoffman) Kennedy. She married Elmer Charles Nerad, who died in 1972.
Mrs. Nerad was employed as a cook at the Hotel Elder, Lamar's, Lester's Diner and Kaufman's, all in Bryan, and retired from Allied Moulded Plastics in Bryan.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore James (Marcia) Nerad of Coldwater, Mich., and Patrick Harris Nerad of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Christine Marie Nerad of Van Wert; one sister, Ada Krupinski of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Marcus Nerad, Elisa Boekhoff, Susan Mosko, Paul Nerad, David Nerad and Christopher Homan, and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Charles Nerad; one brother, Walter Kennedy, and three sisters, Marie Savage, Mildred Gross and Dorothy Croushore.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Edward W. Jillson officiating.
Viewing hours are from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
