Marcile H. (Brickner) Rinard

September 14, 1916 — December 23, 2015

Marcile H. Rinard, age 99, of Van Wert passed away at 5:31 AM Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her residence.  She was born September 14, 1916 in Delphos, Ohio, a daughter of George and Mary (Geise) Brickner both of whom are deceased.  On June 23, 1938 she married Robert Vaughn Rinard, Jr. who preceded her in death on January 30, 2003.

She is survived by a son, Alan V. (Beth) Rinard of Westerville and 4 daughters, Elaine Marcile Varalla of Van Wert, Kathy M. (Al) Cook of Dublin, OH, Linda Snyder of College Station, TX and Debra Rinard of Phoenix, AZ.

She is also survived by grandchildren: Barbara (Jeffrey) Horvath, Michelle Rinard, Tyler Cook, Erin (Brandon) Huff, Leah Storey-Cook, Eric (Natalie) Snyder, Christopher Snyder, Jason (Gwen) Snyder,  great grandchildren, Camryn Cook, Samuel Snyder, Esme' Snyder, Step great grandchildren, Payton Niswander, Logan Niswander, Dylan Huff, 1 sister, Rita Myers of Lima, a brother-in-law Jack Paullus of Van Wert.

She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Margaret (Kenneth) Alexander, Dolores (Don) Gribler, Irene (Ray) Ditto, Jean Paullus, 3 brothers, Arnold (Ruth) Brickner, Carl F. (Madge) Brickner and Paul (Irma) Brickner.

Early in her marriage she was employed at Central Insurance Company but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church , its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of Twigs and a longtime volunteer at the Red Cross Bloodmobiles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church on Saturday, January 16, 2016 with Father Stanley Szybka officiating.  The family will receive friends and relatives at Brickner Funeral Home on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 2:00PM until 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Association, the American Heart Association.and St. Mary of the Assumption Church
