Margaret A. (Neidenbach) Wyandt

June 9, 1919 — September 10, 2015

Margaret A. Wyandt, age 96, of Van Wert, died at 11:40 PM Thursday, September 10, 2015, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.  She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, June 9, 1919, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Neidenbach) Klein.  On August 31, 1946, she married Gerald V. Wyandt who died November 10, 1994.

Surviving are two daughters, Beth (Randy) Stemen and Jeri Wyandt both of Van Wert,  a step-son Fred (Josephine) Wyandt of Carson City, Nevada, grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and two brothers.

Margaret was a graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland.  She retired from the Van Wert City Schools where she was employed as a secretary/librarian.  She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society.  She was a member of the Van Wert Co. Hospital Twig II, served on the Board of Directors for the Council on Aging, was a former United Way volunteer, Y.W.C.A. board member, and Campfire leader.  During WWII she was a USO volunteer in the former Crile Army Hospital at Parma, Ohio.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, September, 15, 2015, at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Stan Szybka officiating.  Burial will follow in Van Wert Woodland Cemetery.

Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home Monday, September 14, from 3 to 7.

Preferred Memorials are to the Community Health Professionals Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
