Maria E. Garcia, age 61, of Van Wert died at 2:45 AM Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Van Wert County Hospital. She was born on April 23, 1953 in Uvalde, TX a daughter of Santiago & Anita D. (Diaz) Garcia, both of whom are deceased. Surviving is her husband, Jaime Jimenez of Van Wert.
Also surviving are her children, Nicolas Gonzales of Elida, Chrissy (Dustin) Stuckey of Van Wert, Rosemary (Justin) Dunno of Van Wert, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, 2 sisters: Rita Sanchez and Connie Sanchez, 1 brother, Santiago Garcia, Jr.
She had worked for many years at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home as an STNA. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Father Stan Syzbka officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, December 5, 2014 with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM Friday at Brickner Funeral Home Van Wert.
