Martha Rawlins
June 5, 1939 — March 25, 2006
age 66, of Van Wert, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
She was born June 5, 1939, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Fred and D'Nelda (Baxter) Gingrich. On October 22, 1962, she married J.B. Rawlins, who died August 21, 1998. Mrs. Rawlins was a registered nurse and an employee of Van Wert County Hospital prior to her illness. She was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert and had taught Sunday School for several years. She also played trombone in the Van Wert Masonic Fellowcraft Band for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela Walton and Cindy Wood, both of Van Wert; a son, Jason Rawlins of Van Wert; two brothers, William Gingrich of Chicago, Ill., and Karl Gingrich of Findlay; and six grandchildren, Chaise Dawson, Ashley Walton, Cody Wood, Skyler Wood, Mason Walton and Jordan Rawlins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Gerald Baker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Viewing hours are from 10 a.m. to the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
