Michael D. Mefferd

Michael D. Mefferd, age 65, of rural Rockford, died at 4:49 PM Monday, July 29, 2019 at his residence.  He was born Sept. 22, 1953 in Van Wert, the son of the late Don & Louise (Wilson) Mefferd.  On Nov. 13, 1971 he married Rebecca (Trim) Mefferd who survives him at the family residence in rural Rockford.  He is also survived by sons Michael D. Mefferd, Jr. of rural Rockford and Robert F. (Erika) Mefferd of Convoy - daughter Felicia (Isaiah) Jones of Jonestown, Ohio- grandchilden Lucas, Grant, and Courtney Mefferd of Convoy- Brother Allen Mefferd of Van Wert- Sisters Jane (Steve) Blevins of New Haven, IN and Lisa (Brian) Wisener of Middle Point- and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by an infant brother Jeffery Mefferd.

Mike had been an 18 year employee of Aeroquip while also running his dairy farm for over 40 years.  He was also a part time employee of Mercer Machine Shop.  He enjoyed going to fairs where he visited the dairy farmers and other animal exhibitions and talking with other dairy farmers.  He also loved going to auctions .

Funeral Service will be at 12 noon Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Brickner Funeral Home with Rev. Darwin Dunten officiating.  Burial will follow in Convoy IOOF Cemetery.  Friends may call at Brickner Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to time of service Saturday.

Preferred Memorials are to the 4-H Udder Club or Community Health Professionals Hospice.
