Patricia J. Lahmon

Patricia J. Lahmon, 80, of Van Wert, died February 18, 2011 at 1:40 p.m. at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born January 29, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late James J. and Bessie (Wiechart) Irwin. On July 3, 1954, she married James H. "Sam" Lahmon, who preceeded her in death on March 8, 1989.
Mrs. Lahmon was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, as well as its Altar Rosary Society, the Catholic Ladies of Columbia, Bible Study Group, Paula Study Club, Red Cross Volunteer, Van Wert County Churches United, Van Wert County Election Board, Van Wert Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary and A1A Condo Park Association in Florida.
Survivors include six children, Mary Anne (Michael) Cramer of Tucson, AZ, James H. (Carol) Lahmon II of Van Wert, OH, Thomas Lahmon of Van Wert, OH, Patrick Lahmon of Wichita, KS, John (Andrea) Lahmon of Van Wert, OH, and Tim (Sally) Lahmon of Dayton, OH; 12 grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Summersett of Moncks Corner, SC, Catherine (Brad) Henson of Summerville, SC, Jenni Lahmon of Lima, OH, Sarah (Rob) Lynch of Philadelphia, PA, Katie Lahmon, Jesika (Eddie) Woodard, Renee Lahmon, Cory Ebel, Alix Ebel, and Morgan Lahmon all of Van Wert, OH, Mackenzie Lahmon and Sam Lahmon of Dayton, OH; and one great-grandchild, Ameila Henson of Summerville, SC.
She was preceeded in death by a son, Joseph Lahmon who died in infancy, a granddaughter, Christina Lahmon in infancy and a brother, James J. Irwin, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. Officiating Father Keith Stripe, Patricia's godson, and Father Mike Zacharias. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. Monday, February 21, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a parish rosary service will be held at 8 that evening.
Preferred memorials: St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert or Donor's Choice.
