Raymond P. Showalter, 50, of Van Wert, died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at his residence.
He was born September 12, 1961, in Paulding County, OH, the son of Joseph and Norma (Pratt) Showalter, both of whom preceded him in death.
He worked as a forge operator for Herbert E. Orr Company in Paulding. He was a member of UAW.
Survivors include two children, Jeremy Showalter of Van Wert, OH and Jennifer (Ronald) Flaga of Palm Bay, FL; five siblings, Peggy Jo (David L.) Smith of Celina, OH, Donald Eugene (Cindy Sue) Showalter of Grover Hill, OH, Erwin LeRoy (Sheree Lynn) Showalter of Eubank, KY, Mark Luther (Pamela) Showalter of Eubank, KY, and Kathy Sue (Jessica) Showalter-Swicker of Van Wert, OH; 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert. Calling will be Sunday, March 4, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Preferred memorials are a donation to a charity of donor's choice.
