63, of Van Wert, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 27, 2007, at 4:08 p.m..

He was born February 19, 1944, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of the late Robert A. Sr. and Mary Elusia (Krugh) Haines. He married Mary Jane (Evans) Haines, on Sunday November 15, 1964, she survives at home.

Mr. Haines was a retired employee of Eaton (Aeroquip) Corp.. He was a Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War where he was awarded the Bronze Star with V device. His hobby was the restoration of automobiles.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, James Robert Haines, and John Richard (Amy) Haines, both of Van Wert; two sisters, Kathleen Wattles of New Smyrna Beach Florida, and Barbara Ann Belcher of Mountain Rest South Carolina; two Grandsons, Joshua Alton haines and Calan James Haines.

He was preceded in death by, 1 Son, Jesse Evan Haines, the twin brother of James; 1 Sister, Mary Lou Tuey; 1 Brother, Lloyd "Butch" Hammond..

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Funeral Home with the Rev. Wendy Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Ohio City Ohio with military graveside rites by the Combines Honors Unit of VFW Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178.

Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Tuesday May 29, 2007 from 2-4 PM & 6-9 PM., and also one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
