Roger Leroy Schaffer

Roger Leroy Schaffer, 70, of Ohio City died at 6:25 AM Monday August 13, 2012 at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born on October 19, 1941 in Van Wert, Ohio. He was the son of Robert and Edna (Leiter) Schaffer, both of whom preceded him in death.
Roger served in the United States Army for 27 years and worked at Brookside Dairy. He also attended Wesley United Methodist Church and First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Carolyn Schaffer of OK; a niece, Leasetta Schaffer of OK; a nephew, Tod Schaffer of OK; an Aunt, Stella "Louise" Leiter of Van Wert; a friend, Leigh Ann Agler of Van Wert and many cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by a half brother, Schuyler Schaffer.
Friends may call from 10 am - 2 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Brickner Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, August, 16, at Brickner Funeral Home with Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
