Roman "Romy" Rosengarten

February 26, 1915 — January 4, 2006

age 90, of Gardendale, Ala., died at 2:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at his residence.

He was born February 26, 1915, in Chickasaw, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Eyink) Rosengarten. He married Rosey Griffin, who survives in Gardendale.

Mr. Rosengarten was a restaurant owner and Meadowgold distributor in Coldwater and later worked at the Van Wert Federal-Mogul plant, retiring in 1980. He was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose lodge in Celina and a member of Parkview Church of God in Gardendale.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, David Rosengarten of Gadendale and Jerry Rosengarten of Beavercreek; two stepsons, Nathan Byram of Marion, Ala., and Mike Byram of Bessemer, Ala., and a sister, Lucille Snyder of Wapakoneta.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. John Pennell officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens in St. Marys.

Viewing hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, January 6, at the funeral home.
