Ruth Evelyn (Morris) Morris

Ruth Evelyn Morris, age 95, of Van Wert, died at 7:40 AM Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Van Crest Healthcare Center. She was born in Woolstock, Iowa on February 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Leland L. and Ava Verona (Manning) Morris. She moved with her family from Woolstock to Van Wert as a youth. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers Daniel and Richard Morris, and a nephew.
She graduated from Van Wert High School in 1938. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 'August 1942.
She worked for Transcontinental World Airlines until 1943 in Arizona. At that time she returned to Van Wert County and went to work at the Lima Tank Plant. Following the war Ruth returned to the family farm outside of Venedocia to manage it. She remained with her parents until the end of their days as a care giver.
She was a long time member of Van Wert American Legion Auxillary Post 178. She was a hard line Republican. She was also a long time member of Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia.
Ruth is survived by her longtime friends Jane and Don Jones.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday June 12 at Toledo Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio. There will be no calling hours
