Sally Jo Moser

Sally Jo Moser, 69, of Van Wert, died at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born July 4, 1941, in Lima, OH, the daughter of the late Carl "CD" and Delores (Moening) Shafer, who survives in Lima, OH. She married Gerald "Gerry" Moser on July 3, 1976 and he survives in Van Wert.

She was retired and had worked at Life Star Rescue as an office manager.

Survivors include her spouse, Children, John E. (Amy) Ryder of Van Wert, OH and Chad J.C. (Jessica) Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; Step-children, Melinda S. (David) Hufford of Indianapolis, IN and Julie Ann (Paul) Fulghum of Ft. Wayne, IN; a brother, David (Denise) Shafer of Bluffton, OH; Grandchildren, Nicholas James Ryder of Van Wert, Kayda Jo, Carson Chad and Chase David Brown all of Ft. Wayne, IN; Step-grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Hufford of Indianapolis, IN, Jacob P. and Natalie C. Fulghum both of Ft. Wayne, IN; Great-grandson, Elijah Brooks Ryder of Van Wert, OH.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Brickner Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Steve Savage will officiate. Calling will be Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
