Thelma M. Busch

89, of Grove City and formerly of Van Wert, died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009, at Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus.
She was born April 22, 1919, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Walter O. and Ethel (Buxton) Gardner. She was married to Karl T. Busch for 56 years, and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Busch was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Van Wert before moving from Van Wert.
Survivors include a son, Jerry T. (Nancy) Busch of Bellevue, Neb.; two daughters, Mary K. (Robert) Newton of Grove City and Kelle Busch; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Gardner of Vancouver, Wash.; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother Melvin Gardner, and a grandson, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Lance O'Donnell officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
