William H. Wheeler

William H. Wheeler, age 62, of Convoy, Ohio passed away  Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Van Wert County Hospital.  He was born on January 13, 1953 in Perrysburg, Ohio to Henry William and Ruth Ellen (Proxmire) Wheeler, both of whom are deceased.

He is survived by 3 daughters:  Joy (Spencer) Short of Convoy--Esther Wheeler of Columbus and Amaris Wheeler of Convoy.  He also survived by one granddaughter, Alexandria Short, BROTHERS: Rick (Gwen) Wheeler of Latty, OH---Richard Wheeler of Van Wert---David (Mary) Wheeler of Silver City, NM---Henry (Juanita) Wheeler of Celina, OH---Randy (Joann) Wheeler of Butler, IN--SISTERS: Lynne (Chico) Candelaria, Celina, OH and Anna (Scott) Hague of St. Mary's, OH and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Laurie Wheeler.

Joe, Bill, Willie, William or however you knew him by was a member of North Union United Methodist Church.  He loved playing board games, listenting to all kinds of music,  working with his metal detector and model railroad.  He was a vivid story teller and joke cracker.  His daughters and granddaughter were his true passion.  He was currently employed as a fork lift operator at Exel, Lima.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert.  Burial will follow in Wiltsie Cemetery in Payne, Ohio.   The family will receive friends and relatives at Brickner Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:30 PM Wednesday, August 5, 2015.
