Robert L. Seibert

Robert L. Seibert of rural Van Wert died at 5:09 PM Sunday March 18, 2012 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born August 12, 1933 in Spencerville, OH to Gilbert & Cleo (Counts) Seibert. On Dec. 23, 1960 he married Dorothy J. Stant who survives.

He is also survived by 2 Daughters: Rita (Andrew) Fowler of Van Wert and Marcia (John) Johnson of Calhoun, GA. 4 Sons: Robert E.(Rhonda) Seibert of Van Wert, Douglas (Annette) Seibert of Scott, OH., Timothy (Valarie) Seibert of Van Wert, and Paul (Jennifer) Seibert of Van Wert. 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 2 Brothers: Gerald (Jane) Seibert of Lima, Gilbert (Karen) Seibert of Sebring, FL, 4 Sisters: Mildred Seibert of Lima, Juanita Bonefield of Lima, Lullabell Lockwood of Celina, and Betty Thomas of Lakeview. He was preceded in death by a son: Robbie Paul Seibert. Mr. Seibert retired from the Van Wert City School System where he was employed as a custodian at the former Lincoln Junior High School. He is also survived by a special friend Shawn Burk.

He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 54 of Van Wert.

Memorial Services will be at 10:30 AM Friday, March 23, 2012, at Brickner Funeral Home where Military Honors will be rendered by the combined Honors Unit of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 and American Legion Post 178.

In lieu of flowers Memorials to the Disabled American Veterans and to the Family would be appreciated.
